Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Senior Manual Test Engineer to design and execute tests for our IP network infrastructure, focusing on Cisco routing and switching, IP/MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and QoS.

You will leverage Ixia or Spirent for traffic generation, validate configurations, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust network solutions. A CCNP or equivalent certification and 6–10 years of hands-on testing experience are preferred.

• Automation knowledge with traffic generators (Ixia or Spirent) a plus.
• CCNP or equivalent certification.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

Must haves:

• Looking for Manual Test Engineers with 6–10 years of experience in testing Cisco networking technologies , with strong hands-on
  experience and understanding of Routing/Switching technologies including IP/MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, Segment Routing, L2/L3 VPNs, and QoS.

• Automation knowledge and experience with traffic
  generators such as Ixia or Spirent would be an added advantage.(Previous testing experience and knowledge of Ixia and Spirent tools)

• CCNP or equivalent certification

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with Huawei, Nokia F5 or Fortinet devices would be an advantage

• Knowledge of Git and Python or any other programming language

• Knowledge of NETCONF-YANG, open and vendor specific models, as well as JSON and XML markup languages
