Job summary

WGS Systems, LLC in Frederick, Maryland is seeking Engineering Technicians with aerospace/defense electronics background to join our team. The role involves airborne platform integration, complex electrical/mechanical assembly, and system testing across lab and field environments.

Successful candidates will read schematics and wiring diagrams, assemble precise components, support multiple engineering disciplines, and help maintain AS9100D processes; travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• AA technical degree or equivalent military/technical training.
• 4 years of applicable experience, or 6 years in lieu of education.
• Ability to read and work with schematics and wiring diagrams as well as mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with electronic and mechanical tools; RF test equipment experience.
• Prior experience with ground and airborne systems is desired.
• Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain government security clearance are required.

WGS Systems, LLC, is looking for Engineering Technicians with backgrounds in aerospace and defense electronic system and product design, and fabrication, to join our company in Frederick, Maryland.

Successful candidates will have prior experience with airborne platform integration, troubleshooting, and testing and/or experience with complex electronic component assembly, troubleshooting and test. Must be capable of reading and following assembly drawings and wiring diagrams correctly as well as have excellent mechanical and electrical assembly skills.

Key Responsibilities/Duties Include:

• Airborne platform and ground-based system integration and testing


• Electrical and Mechanical assembly and test of complex electronics


• Close interaction with multiple engineering disciplines


• Provide system integration support to prime and sub-contractors


• Conduct laboratory and field testing of components and systems


• Line replaceable unit troubleshooting and debugging


• Test results data collection and plan/report writing


• Electrical drafting


• Maintain AS9100D processes


• Other duties as assigned

Qualification requirements:

• Candidate must be a United States citizen and will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.


• AA technical degree or equivalent military/technical training, at least 4 years of applicable experience or 6 years applicable experience in lieu of education requirements


• Ability to work with minimal supervision and support system


• IPC-610, 620 and J-STD Certifications desired


• Have proficiency in the use of electronic and mechanical tools


• RF and electrical test equipment and measurements experience


• Prior experience with ground and airborne systems desired


• Ability to read and work with schematics and wiring diagrams, as well as mechanical drawings.


• Proficient in MS Office and Windows-based applications


• Linux experience a plus


• International travel will be required
