FOR USE BY IT AND HSIS ONLY: To manage moderately complex tasks typically relating to network monitoring, operations, installation and/or maintenance. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
Installation and maintenance of cisco VoIP phone and cisco gateway. Installation and maintenance of network switches, wireless access points, and data connection for end user's devices Installation and maintenance of fiber network. Installation and maintenance of APC UPS and management interface. Installation and maintenance of UAB Emergency help phones. Additional duties as needed or assigned. Will be required to work with Network Engineering, Communication Engineering, Communication Analyst teams to complete or troubleshoot tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This position is required to participate in an on-call rotation and may require overtime hours as needed.
(Hourly Rate: $21.35 - $35.45)
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
