Responsibilities:
- Patching cabling between network equipment and customer’s network
- Installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet
- Installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment
- Install/swap out cables, switches routers and etc.
- Complete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels
- Provide infrastructure cabling break-fix services for network infrastructure
- Power and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) restoral
- Support inventory management activities incl; Tagging of assets, Updating inventory records, Prepare and return damaged equipment
- Installing single and multi-mode optical cabling
- Installing copper cable to IEEE and BICSI cabling standards.
- Decommissioning obsolete networking infrastructure.
- Working with elevated and underfloor cabling trays.
- Performing physical (rack and stack) installations of networking equipment.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Checklist Completion: Ability to accurately read and follow detailed checklists to ensure all tasks are completed.
- Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with project managers while on-site.
- Client Interaction: Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with clients, maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting tasks and reporting issues.
- Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, ensuring smooth coordination with both project teams and clients during job execution.
- The knowledge and experience to work safely with high-speed single mode long range optical lasers
- Requires experience in working in a data centers and communications closets
- Must be able to perform rack and stack activities
- Must be able to safely lift heavy objects
- Must understand cable patching processes and procedures
- Must an in-depth knowledge of structured cabling
- Previous Experience Working in a data center highly preferred

We offer a flexible schedule for our technicians. As a contractor, you’ll have the freedom to accept or reject work tickets based on your availability, giving you control over your work-life balance.
- Long term contract with possible contract extension or hire
- Standard work hours: Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, shifts may vary or change to cover changes in site status
- Location: Varies within assigned region
