Responsibilities

• Triage, validate, and route incoming ServiceNow tickets and gather missing information
• Perform MACs: moves, adds, and changes including phone relocations and installations
• Install voice jumpers and troubleshoot copper cabling infrastructure
• Manage Cisco Webex configurations via Kurmi; password and voicemail resets
• Perform physical inventory and asset tracking for network switches and voice hardware
• Travel to sites within 50 miles of downtown Denver for field wiring and telecom installations
• Assist with Google Voice orders, documentation updates, vendor walkthroughs, and wiring/cabling orders

Location: Denver, CO — hybrid, about 50% onsite; must currently live in Colorado

Type: Contract — $43.66–$44.29/hr W2 with benefits, or $49.60/hr 1099/C2C

Duration: October 1, 2026 start; initial term through June 30, 2027

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM MT, with occasional after-hours phone cutovers

About the Role

Our client in Denver is hiring a Network Technician to support its voice network operations team. This is an entry-level role that combines ticket work and phone-system administration with hands‑on field work: moves, adds, and changes, voice jumper installs, copper cabling troubleshooting, and phone cutovers at sites within 50 miles of downtown Denver.

This is not a desk job.

Expect to split your time between a ServiceNow queue and wiring closets, lifting up to 20 lbs and doing physical cabling work. If you’ve run MACs, punched down copper, or done telecom installs and want a steady contract at strong pay, this is a good fit. If you’d rather stay behind a keyboard all day, this isn’t the role.

What You’ll Do

• Triage, validate, and route incoming ServiceNow tickets, gathering missing information as needed
• Perform daily moves, adds, and changes (MACs), including phone relocations and installations
• Install voice jumpers and troubleshoot analog lines and copper cabling infrastructure
• Manage Cisco Webex configurations through Kurmi, including password resets, voicemail resets, and line changes
• Perform physical inventory and asset tracking for network switches and voice hardware, including surplus and decommissioning
• Travel to sites within 50 miles of downtown Denver for field wiring, phone cutovers, and telecom installations
• Assist with Google Voice orders, documentation updates, vendor walkthroughs, and ordering circuits and cabling

What You Need

• Current Colorado residence — relocation is not an option for this role
• 1–3 years of experience with hardware installation and maintenance, inventory or asset management, and diagnostic troubleshooting
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform hands‑on cabling work
• Ability to pass a background check, including a 7-year criminal history review
• Completion of required information security training within your first 30 days

Nice to Have

• Telecom or low‑voltage cabling experience — copper, analog lines, voice jumpers
• Experience with Cisco Webex or Kurmi
• ServiceNow ticketing experience
• Experience with Google Voice or other VoIP platforms
