Job summary

Setechnical in Buford, GA seeks a Network Technician to assist with installing and configuring our expanding network infrastructure. The role covers hardware and software setup, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure seamless operations across sites.

You will work with switches, routers, APs, firewalls, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs, and collaborate with Network Administrators and Tier 2/3 techs on larger projects. Strong TCP/IP knowledge and vendor hardware experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS and VPN setup.
  • Experience with network hardware from multiple vendors.
  • Ability to document changes clearly for handoffs.

Job description

Buford, GA (on-site / hybrid) Full-Time Network Operations

The Network Technician is responsible to assist with the installation and configuration of our expanding network infrastructure. The Network Technician sets up the various hardware and software components, troubleshooting and resolving any issues along the way. The Network Technician should have an excellent ability to solve problems using in-depth understanding of network technologies.

What You’ll Do:
  • Install, configure, and cable network hardware: switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls
  • Set up and verify the software side: VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPN connectivity
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues, at local sites and remotely
  • Document changes clearly so the next person can pick up where you left off
  • Work alongside our Network Administrators and Tier 2/3 techs on larger projects
What We’re Looking For:
  • A working understanding of TCP/IP, switching, and routing fundamentals
  • Hands-on comfort with network hardware from more than one vendor
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and a methodical, document-as-you-go habit
  • Clear communication with both clients and teammates
  • Bonus: any RMM, firewall, or wireless-controller experience
