The role requires a bachelor's degree, 10+ years of related experience, and ITIL 4 certification. It offers a hybrid work arrangement with some on-site support and travel as needed, with compensation aligned to experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize network and firewall infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Coordinate monitoring and maintenance of LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, and wireless.
• Lead project efforts and manage priorities for network monitoring.
• Ensure incident response and timely resolution of hardware/software problems.

Job Description: GDIT seeks a Network Team Lead for our federal client in their Infrastructure team. As a Network Team Lead, you will be part of a program that provides support for federal clients in D.C. for their Networking, telecommunication, and firewall technologies. The team supports engineering and operational tasks and performs real-time monitoring, proactive maintenance, incident detection and response, problem resolution, and network and firewall performance reporting across nationwide enterprise. This hybrid position offers a combination of remote work and periodic on-site support and customer meetings.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
• Plan, organize, and direct the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable operation of CBP’s network infrastructure.
• Maintain, support, and optimize key functional areas, particularly network and firewall infrastructure, and telecommunications systems.
• Manage and set priorities for the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, and wireless.
• Manage and set priorities for the Network Management team.
• Ensure effective monitoring and response to hardware, software, and network problems.
• Coordinate and manage the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network and firewalls
• Schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications or an additional 4 years of related experience is required.
• 10+ years of related experience
• One of the following ITIL 4 Certifications is required: ITIL 4 Specialist i.e. (CDS, DSV, HVIT, DPI), ITIL 4 Strategist, ITIL 4 Managing Professional (MP) or ITIL4 Strategic Leader (SL)
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure, and equipment (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
• Experience implementing and administering an enterprise-wide monitoring system for servers, networking devices, and applications.
• Showcase leadership abilities by managing projects and teams.
• Proficiency in project managemen and have knowledge of security and compliance issues.
• U.S. Citizenship and a background investigation are required; you must have a current clean financial background. The role requires flexibility to support issues or planned activities after hours, weekends and holidays as needed. Successful candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate technical skills and engineering attitude for success, dedication and commitment.

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
