Job summary

Utilities Company is seeking a Network & Systems Security Analyst for a 6-month contract on site in Tampa, FL.

Candidates should have 4-6 years hands-on experience with Windows servers, VMware, firewalls, SANs, Cisco networking, and security best practices. Must hold at least one associate and one senior certification (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, VCP, MCSA). On-site schedule M-F 9am-6pm; USC or GC required; compensation $60/hr.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, firewall support, SANs, Cisco networking.
• Ability to support existing server and network infrastructure.
• Intermediate knowledge of network or server infrastructure and security best practices.
• Supports switching, routing, DNS/DHCP, Active Directory, VMware, hardware installation and maintenance, and cyber security.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure per requirements and capacity needs.
• Troubleshoot server and network issues; escalate as needed.
• May lead small projects and mentor Level 1 Network & Systems Security Analyst under supervision.
• Monitor, diagnose, and remedy server and network problems and failures.
• Install and configure server/network hardware/software meeting security standards.
• Design plans for small projects; provide project leadership or cross-train peers.

Work Authorization: MUST be USC or GC permanent residence no other Visa please.

Required Certification:Has obtained at least one associate and one senior level certification:

(i.e. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certifications, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Education Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline (MIS).

Certifications Preferred:CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA

Experience:

• 4-6 years of related hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, firewall support, Storage Area Networks, Cisco Networking.
• Ability to support existing server and network infrastructure.
• Intermediate knowledge of network or server infrastructure regardless of the complexity.
• Supports the following technologies: switching, routing, DNS/DHCP, Windows Active Directory, VMware, hardware installation and maintenance, firewall support, and cyber security best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity plans, and system support.
• Problem solving involves basic troubleshooting following the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, making or calling for equipment repairs, and problem escalation.
• Consulting on small project design and plans.May serve as a project lead and mentor Level 1 Network & Systems Security Analyst.Works under general supervision.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and remedies server and network related problems and failures.
• Installs and configures server and network related hardware/software which meet the company’s security standards.
• Design and planning required for small projects.
• Project leadership, consulting, or cross‑train peers.
