Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Network Specialist to monitor and maintain our local and wide area network infrastructure, including VPNs and enterprise wiring. The role requires strong communication and cross-functional collaboration to ensure network health and performance.

You will analyze risks, assist with documentation, and coordinate with IT service providers to implement solutions across projects. This position emphasizes reliability and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in Information Technology pertaining to networking technologies is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong management and organizational skills; ability to work across all levels of management and staff.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains the local and wide area network infrastructure equipment (hubs, modems, switches, network appliances, routers).
• Uses network management tools to monitor and maintain network health and performance.
• Monitors and maintains VPN infrastructure.
• Maintains enterprise wiring infrastructure (fiber, UTP, wireless, network racks).
• Isolates and resolves network-related service calls and problems.
• Provides technical assistance regarding all network devices, circuitry and core infrastructure.
• Conducts risk analysis before decisions related to technology and infrastructure.
