Qualifications
- 5+ years of network security experience in large enterprises or government.
- 3+ years in firewall/security design, hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM.
- Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco or Juniper firewalls.
- Hands-on with Wireshark and traffic analysis tools.
- Experience with monitoring/log collection for traffic analysis.
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time and hold TS/SCI clearance.
- DoD 8140 baseline Level II Certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP).
- HS diploma or GED is required.
- Experience designing cloud/DT networking (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

As a Network Engineer on our team, you’ll help the DoD deploy a reliable network to support national defense. You’ll work with customers to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements. You’ll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and sof tware talents to good use. - 5+ years of experience with network security and the design of IT systems or networks for large commer cia l enterprises or government agencies
- 3+ years of experience with firewall and enterprise security design, including device hardening, int rus ion detection and int rus ion prevention systems, SIEM, firewalls, internet protocol security, and vulnerability assessment
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco, or Juniper firewalls
- Experience with packet analysis tools, including Wireshark
- Experience with monitoring tools and log collectors to perform analysis of traffic
- Experience with boundary protection
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD 8140 baseline Level II Certification such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or DoD Cyber Workforce Framework Certification
- Experience designing and implementing cloud‑native and over‑the‑top networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with SD-WAN
- Experience with Ansible or Python
- Knowledge of DoD IT and cloud security policies , including STIGs and DoD Cloud SRG, and how to apply them to the design and implementation of cloud solutions
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, prior publications, and speaking e nga gements in industry or vendor forums

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
