Job summary

VDart Inc. in Carson, CA seeks a Network Systems Administrator to manage network and server infrastructure across multiple sites. Responsibilities include SharePoint Online migrations, IP mapping, DNS/domain consolidation, and comprehensive network optimization.

The role covers cooperation with diverse security tools and a heavy focus on maintaining wireless coverage, troubleshooting, and incident response for the warehouse and facilities. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with network and server administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online migrations.
• Proficient in Veeam backup solutions.
• IP mapping and subnetting experience.
• Ability to perform network segmentation and multi-site support.
• Nice to have Darktrace / NDR experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete unfinished migration of shared files from SharePoint to Microsoft 365.
• Consolidate domain records and DNS configurations for Custom Goods.
• Standardize and consolidate multi-site infrastructure across Carson (7 sites) and Inland Empire (1 site).
• Lead IP mapping, network switching, subnet changes, and upgrades across locations.
• Assist with Darktrace NDR evaluation, deployment, and configuration.
• Support and optimize network infrastructure (Palo Alto, Cisco, HP, Aruba, Extreme).
• Improve wireless coverage in warehouse and dock areas and restore Wi‑Fi for end users.

Title: Network Systems Administrator

Location: Carson, CA

Contract

Must-haves:

5 years of experience - hit the ground running doing projects with minimal supervision.

Network and Server administration and troubleshooting- will be doing a lot of this kind of work

Scope & Immediate Projects:

• SharePoint to Microsoft 365 Migration
  • Complete the unfinished migration of shared files from SharePoint to Microsoft 365.
• Domain & DNS Consolidation
  • Updating domain records and DNS configurations to point to Custom Goods.
• Multi-Site Infrastructure Standardization
  • Multiple buildings operating in mixed environments that need to be consolidated and standardized
  • (7 sites in Carson, 1 in the Inland Empire).
  • Extensive network segmentation work, with some buildings containing 6 to 7 separate subnets
  • The Network Admin will be heavily involved in IP mapping, network switching, subnet changes, and network upgrades across multiple locations. A lot of repetitive network tasks that need to be done accurately and consistently (doing the same task 30 times and doing it right)
• Darktrace NDR Evaluation & Deployment
  • Assisting with the Darktrace POC, deployment, configuration, and implementation of an NDR solution.
• Network Infrastructure Support & Optimization
  • Supporting and maintaining Palo Alto, Cisco, HP Blades, Aruba Wireless, and Extreme Networks environments.
    • Existing documentation has been heavily developed and maintained using Claude
  • Supporting the move of newly acquired HQ building.
  • Will support all networks and system for all Custom Goods facilities. Need to have good troubleshooting skills with improving wireless coverage, particularly in warehouse and dock areas.
    • End Customer is Warehouse General Manager and he's not a techie person. Really need to get the information you need to get their Wi-Fi back up.
