Job summary

ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions is seeking experienced Network Administrators to support a large, multi-site infrastructure modernization effort. You will work from a central desk, coordinating field technicians and handling VPN, VLAN, and firewall tasks across numerous locations.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years of hands-on experience and a proven ability to manage WAN/LAN issues, document configurations, and drive process improvements in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client, a large multi-site organization, is expanding its network support team to help manage the volume of active infrastructure and deployment initiatives currently underway. This team is supporting large-scale network modernization work across hundreds to thousands of locations, including firewall infrastructure upgrades, network segmentation projects, and connectivity troubleshooting at scale. We're looking for experienced Network Administrators to join an existing team of contracted network professionals and help alleviate current workload.

Core Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VLANs, switches, and routing across a large multi-site network environment
• Manage and support firewall infrastructure, including firmware updates, configuration changes, and ACL rule management
• Monitor and troubleshoot VPN tunnel connectivity between distributed site locations and central infrastructure
• Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues across LAN/WAN environments
• Serve as a desk-based technical resource, working primarily from a central location while coordinating and directing field technicians handling on-site work at remote locations
• Provide remote guidance to field technicians on network troubleshooting steps, configuration changes, and issue escalation
• Support network-related aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects, including phone system conversions and connectivity rollouts across store/site locations
• Document network changes, configurations, and incident resolutions to maintain accurate infrastructure records
• Collaborate with other network administrators on the team to manage ticket volume and project workload across a high number of active sites
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements that reduce repeat incidents across the network environment

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-10+ years of hands-on Network Administrator experience
• Strong, demonstrated expertise in VLAN configuration, switch management, and routing fundamentals
• Deep experience with firewall administration (firmware management, ACL configuration, VPN troubleshooting)
• Proven experience supporting multi-site or distributed network environments
• Comfort working primarily from a desk while directing and coordinating with field technicians handling on-site/remote work
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause diagnostic skills across LAN/WAN environments
• Ability to work independently within a larger team structure, managing a queue of tickets/tasks across many locations
• Strong documentation habits and clear communication skills for remote coordination with field staff
