Job summary

Centuria seeks a Senior Network/Systems Technician to support US Fleet Forces Command (USFF) HQ in Norfolk, VA at a government facility. You will provide IT engineering and operational support for classified and unclassified networks, maintain security posture, and assist in system administration and deployment tasks.

The role requires a Secret clearance, STIG/HBSS knowledge, and VMware/NETAPP experience, with on-site presence at a government site supporting 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field or AA/AS with related certification and 4 years of experience.
• In lieu of formal education, 8 years of related experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, SharePoint Services, and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of STIG requirements and implementation process.
• Active Directory administration.
• Experience with NETAPP storage hardware/software.
• Experience with DOD HBSS.
• VMware virtualization experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT engineering and technical services for operation and maintenance of USFF networks and related hardware/software.
• Manage systems across Top Secret, Secret, Coalition and Unclassified networks.
• Configure and deploy new clients on locally managed networks.
• Administer and configure application servers (SSO, Identity Management).
• Manage infrastructure including cryptographic login, backups, and load balancing.
• On-site support for end users and staff for deployment and AD management.
• Maintain security integrity and IA compliance across networks.
• Provide 24x7 on-call IT support for USFF.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Senior Network/Systems Technician shall provide IT engineering and technical services and support for a broad assortment of system engineering and support functions. The Senior Network/Systems Technician shall provide direct support services for overall and complete operation and maintenance of the Headquarters SECRET, NATO, Coalition and UNCLASSIFIED networks and associated hardware and software
• Systems Management of all USFF owned/managed Top Secret, Secret, Coalition and Unclassified networks.
• Configure and deploy new and/or additional clients on the locally managed networks.
• Application server administration and configuration including but not limited to: Single Sign On, Identity Management, Public
• Key Infrastructure Management, Cryptographic Log On, Server Replication, Backups and Load Balancing.
• On-site operational and functional support for application end users and support personnel, for but not limited to application deployment, active directory management, data recovery services, client hardware and software support.
• Maintain the system, network, and application security integrity including maintaining and updating the C&A packages and maintaining compliance with current IA policies.
• Provide 24x7 on-call technical support as related to operational support of USFF.

Job Requirements:

• BA/BS in related field and no experience, or AA/AS in related field or Computer Network Administration Certification and 4 years related experience. In lieu of formal education, 8 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of and experience providing systems administration of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office SharePoint Services and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of the Defense Information Systems Agency published STIG requirements and implementation/compliance process.
• Knowledge of Active Directory.
• Knowledge of virtual system storage to include NETAPP hardware/software
• Knowledge of CND compliance requirements for all managed networks and systems.
• Knowledge in the operations and maintenance of the DOD’s HBSS.
• Experience in virtualization technology such as VMWare.
• Must have an active Secret clearance.
