Job summary

MDAEdge is seeking an experienced IT security and network administrator to organize, secure, and support complex DoD networks and systems in a high-security environment. You will design network models, lead the IT operations team, and coordinate RMF/JSIG ATO activities.

Candidate should have 5–7 years in system/network administration, SAP experience, and TS/SCI eligibility with DoD policy familiarity. On-site Massachusetts location with advanced platforms and security tooling.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Organize, install, and support computer systems including LANs, WANs, intranets, and data communications.
• Architect, design, and analyze network models; participate in upgrades.
• Provide technical support to users and resolve problems.
• Support Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities for DoD agencies.
• Lead IT ops team on network management and RMF/JSIG ATO.
• Maintain Continuous Monitoring tools and processes.
• Manage COTS/GOTS products for security metrics.
• Assist in security assessments of servers and network devices.
• Create O&M checklists, TTPs, and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform self-sustaining work with minimal oversight.
• Lead IT ops team on network management, implementing vetted capabilities for JSIG/RMF Authority to Operate.
• Maintain Continuous Monitoring tools/processes.
• Manage COTS/GOTS products for security/operations metrics collection, display, and remediation.
• Assist in security assessments of servers/network devices/appliances.
• Create O&M checklists, TTPs, and SOPs for services.
• Manage SIEM tools, create event alarms/rules/reports.
• Execute cybersecurity operations for network management/maintenance.
• Monitor/analyze cybersecurity tools for incidents/residual risk.
• Analyze technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools/processes.
• Support security incident response team.
• Assist ISSM/ISSO/ISSE with techniques improving CIA for classified networks/systems.

Must-Have Certifications and Clearance:

• Current TS/SCI eligibility.
• Meet DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III requirements within 6 months of hire (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP Associate, GCED, GCIH, CCSP).

• English native or bilingual proficiency.
