Job summary

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Network System Administrator to support Fort Novosel, AL. This 100% onsite role involves daily network/server administration, software installation and configuration, performance monitoring, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in networking, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and relevant certifications such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP, plus Juniper JNCIA-Junos or

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in networking or network management
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos) or equivalent
• 350-801-CLCOR, Cisco Certified Specialist-Collaboration Core, 300-815 CLACCM, Cisco Certified Specialist, Collaboration Call Control & Mobility Implementation or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Daily administration of a network/server environment
• Install, config, and maintain system software
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
• Plan and implement upgrades, patches, and new applications/equipment
• Create and maintain disaster recovery, security, and back-up/restore plans

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for daily administration of a network/server environment.
• Installs, configures, and maintains system software.
• Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues, and deploys solutions.
• Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications and equipment.
• Creates and maintains a disaster recovery, security, and back-up and restore plan.
• May assist with evaluating new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance.
