Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network System Administrator to support mission-critical government IT infrastructure at Fort Rucker, AL.

The role focuses on maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise network and server environments while ensuring availability and security. The position requires 4+ years in network or systems administration, an active Secret clearance, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications.

Qualifications

This position is on-site at Fort Rucker, AL. The Network System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise network and server environments while ensuring infrastructure availability and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities for the Network System Administrator include:

• Administer and maintain enterprise network and server environments on a daily basis.
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain system software, applications, and infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot network performance issues and implement effective solutions to maintain operational availability.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, hardware installations, and application deployments.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, restore, and security plans to ensure infrastructure resilience.

Required Qualifications for the Network System Administrator include:

• 4+ years of experience in network administration, network management, systems administration, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting enterprise network and server infrastructure in secure operational environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required, including Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, GICSP, CND, or SSCP.

Compensation for the Network System Administrator include:

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
