Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Network Sustainment Engineer II for a full-time role in Kansas City. The position provides in-depth support for Transport, Packet, and Management Networks and OSS functions, with design, testing, and implementation responsibilities.

The role requires 4–6 years in OSS/network operations, strong MPLS/BGP/Segment Routing experience, and relevant certifications. It is a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days each week.

• Experience in MPLS, BGP, Segment Routing, Layer 2 and Layer 3.
• College degree in Engineering or CS and 4–6 years professional experience.
• Certifications such as CCIE/CCNP/CCNA etc preferred.

Job description

Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Network Sustainment Engineer II to join us in a full-time capacity.

Location Requirement

The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in the office, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.

Role Overview

This position provides in depth support of the company’s Transport, Packet, and Management Networks and OSS functions. Will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within one of the functional areas of the organization identified in the Skill Discipline Matrix below. Design, develop, test, and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization. Performs administrative work relating to projects and assignments.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years deploying and managing OSS systems, network operations, or engineering environment or related job.
• Must have experience in areas such as MPLS, BGP, Segment Routing, Layer 2, and Layer 3
• Understanding of either the Data, OSS, or Transport disciplines.
• College degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 4-6 years professional level experience.
• CCIE/CCIE Service Provider, CCNP/CCNP Service Provider, CCNA, MEF-SNCP, MEF-CECP, MEF-SDCP, CISSP, CISA, or Security+ (CompTIA) preferred.

Salary Range

$86,205.00 - $102,000
