Job summary

Apex Systems is actively hiring for a Network Solution Design Specialist to support a DISA-related program in Columbus, OH. The role is 100% on-site and requires a current DoD Secret clearance.

It is a 6-month contract-to-permanent-hire opportunity with pay rate of $30–$32 per hour, depending on experience. The specialist will manage provisioning, design, and activation across DISA networks, collaborating with government and contractor teams to ensure secure, reliable communications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of military experience in a communications field or an applicable technical discipline; OR 2+ years in an accredited technical training program, including 1 year of experience in an applicable communication field; OR 2+ years of experience in a communication field or applicable technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct planning, investigation, design, and implementation of communications solutions affecting the entire network.
• Collaborate with team members, customers, and vendors to define and address communication needs (voice, data, image).
• Prepare workprints, schematics, and design tools to illustrate network structures and solutions.
• Evaluate network usage and provide media solutions, optimize network servers, ensure performance goals.
• Communicate clearly to prepare documentation and ensure order fulfillment across teams.
