Job summary

Itezz Inc. is seeking a Network Security Boundary NSSA professional in the Maryland area to implement, troubleshoot, and maintain boundary infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities include Tier 1/2 support, ongoing operations, and escalation communications with agency management. Candidates should have 10 years of NSSA experience or 5 years plus a related degree and

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph.
• Ten (10) years experience as a NSSA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of NSSA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must meet DoD approved 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II
• Must possess at least two of the following vendor certifications: Palo Alto NGFE; Sonicwall SNSA/SNSP; Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE

• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of Information Technology Network Security Boundaries.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using Network Security Boundaries.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries.
• Provide support to Network Security Boundaries including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 (Basic help desk resolution) and Tier 2 (In-depth technical support) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble‑shooting the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
• Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process

Description:

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Salary Range

$100,000.00 – $250,000.00 (Annually) Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; annual hours worked; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
