Job summary

Ask IT consulting is seeking a security-focused engineer in California to install, configure and support next-generation firewalls and related security solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, has hands-on experience with Next Gen firewalls, Cisco ASA, IPsec VPNs and IDS/IPS, and possesses security certifications. Strong communication and clear documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• Experience with Next Gen firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls, IPsec VPNs and IDS/IPS.
• Security certifications (GSEC, CEH, CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PNSE, etc.) are a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to document and explain technical details clearly.
• Install, configure and support security hardware/software appliances including firewalls and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and support security appliances and solutions including Next Gen Firewalls and VPNs.
• Document technical details clearly and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support Secure Mail and Web gateways, IDS, Anti-Virus, Mobile Security and DLP solutions.

Palo Alto Networks Next Gen firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls are MUST skills .

EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Next Gen firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, IPSEC VPNs, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems.

One or more security certifications like GSEC, CEH, CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PNCSE etc. will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication skills and ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely.
