Everforth Apex is seeking a Proxy Network Security Engineer to support multiple security initiatives in Chicago. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security capabilities across web, email, and B2B environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with outbound/proxy security controls, SSL termination, and DLP, plus familiarity with Skyhigh, Trellix, and F5 technologies.

**Job Description:****Job Title**: Proxy Network Security Engineer**Locations:** Denver, DC, ChicagoApex does not support C2C hiring.Position Summary: This job is responsible for supporting multiple security engineering efforts to deliver enterprise security capabilities. Key responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert of security technology, overseeing major engineering milestones including the design, development, and implementation of systems, and reporting on key metrics. Job expectations include executing on engineering initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams, and solving complex issues within one or more security domains.**Key Skills and Responsibilities:*** Identify gaps in environment management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.* Contribute to defining and ensuring security requirements are met based on BofA standards and policies.* Incorporate architecture components including threat models, diagrams, and technology requirements into solution development.* Utilize network, virtualization, and datacenter technologies to support deployment strategies.* Work across technology teams to understand and deliver system requirements.* Build and improve processes supporting system transformation, quality controls, dependency management, and workload management.* Perform and implement test suites including integration, regression, and performance testing.* Analyze test reports, identify issues, and triage root causes.* Document and communicate deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality requirements.* Adhere to team delivery and release processes and cadence.**Required Qualifications:*** Key qualifications include designing, evaluating, and deploying network security solutions for Secure outbound Internet browsing/access.* Role is responsible for supporting multiple security engineering efforts to deliver enterprise security capabilities encompasses nut is not limited to: Analysis, Documentation, and engineering of Network Security Controls including: + Secure Web Gateways and Content inspection + Network Malware Controls + Network Monitoring and analysis tools + Network Access Controls + ISP and DDoS Security Controls* Experience engineering web content inspection solutions using tools such as Skyhigh Web gateway, Trellix (Fireeye), and F5 LTM/APM/SSLO.* Strong fundamental understanding of information security principles, risks, and controls and of cyber security operations functions.* Knowledge of how Web Based internet facing applications are deployed and set up and experience architecting complex enterprise cybersecurity solutions for data in transit across web, email and b2b environments. Including technology that provides proxy control, malware inspection, SSL termination, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).* Knowledge Solid experience with designing, evaluating, and deploying network security solutions for outbound, inbound, and lateral network traffic. Experience engineering web content inspection solutions using tools such as Skyhigh Web gateway, Trellix (Fireeye), and F5 LTM/APM/SSLO.* Experience deploying proxies in the cloud (AWS) and experience with SASE platforms**Desired Qualifications:*** Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing and Switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, and RADIUS.* Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and wireless infrastructure.* Experience with packet capture and protocol analysis using Wireshark.* Exposure to Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway (SWG).* Exposure to proxy policy categories. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
