Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks a Network Security Engineer I for onsite design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security solutions. Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred in CS/IS or related field.
• 3-4 years working knowledge of technical security solutions (Firewalls, NIDS/HIDS, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, Email Security, MFA, etc.)
• 3-4 years enforcing security policies to safeguard data and systems from cyber attacks
• 1 year Azure and/or AWS cloud experience preferred
• 2 years broad technical security knowledge of networking, Windows and Linux operating systems preferred

• Perform network security threat/impact assessments.
• Oversee host-based security: antivirus, HIPS, data loss prevention, rogue system detection.
• Respond to malware reports and assist in protective/anti-malware measures.
