Job summary

1st-Midamerica-Credit is seeking a Network Security Administrator to design and oversee the security of our network infrastructure. You will implement security solutions, monitor networks, and perform vulnerability assessments to protect data and systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS, encryption, and SIEM. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential in this on-site position in Wood River, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/MIS or equivalent work experience.
• CompTIA Security+ preferred.
• Experience with LAN routing, switching, and firewalls; strong security mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee the network security infrastructure.
• Install, administer, and troubleshoot network security solutions such as firewalls, IDS, antivirus, and data encryption.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation for all network services.
• Maintain and organize local data center, track equipment and software licenses, maintain equipment documentation and inventory.
• Monitor network traffic and user logs for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
• Review and configure firewall rules; manage least privilege rights.
• Set up network devices such as switches; support Windows OS and system applications.
