We are seeking a Network Security Engineer IV. This position provides Cybersecurity (CS) engineering support, focusing on engineering, acquisition, logistical, and cybersecurity efforts for various Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The role involves system security analysis, secure design, testing and evaluation (T&E), systems assessment, and lifecycle management to support critical defense initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, configure, and enforce security controls on network, hardware, and software components.
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Manage enterprise-level deployment of Active Directory.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool.
  • Configure and secure Cisco networking devices.
  • Utilize packet analyzer tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump for network monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and provide solutions.
  • Implement and manage firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Certifications:
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
    • DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Certification at a minimum of IAT Level III, in accordance with DFARS 252.239-7001.
  • Clearance: Active Secret or higher
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in network security.
    • Expertise in secure network design, STIG implementation, and vulnerability assessment.
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices and security tools.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills related to network connectivity and security solutions.
