Job summary

LaundryLux is seeking a Systems and Security Engineer to maintain, secure, document, and improve our core IT infrastructure across LAN/WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, and server operations. You will support Microsoft 365, email/security platforms, and endpoint protection while owning key projects and vendor relationships.

You will work as a technical escalation point, ensure incident response readiness, and partner with IT leadership to implement security improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with LAN/WAN, firewall, VPN, switches, and wireless
• Experience securing Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
• Proficiency in endpoint security, email security, phishing protection, and threat remediation
• Ability to document systems clearly with diagrams, inventories, and SOPs
• Experience coordinating with vendors and managing projects and SLAs
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, or equivalent
• 5+ years in IT infrastructure, security operations, or network administration
• Certifications such as Network+, Security+, Cisco, VMware preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support LAN/WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, and network gear
• Monitor performance, incidents, and capacity; resolve issues before business impact
• Support warehouse Wi‑Fi, RF, VLANs, and PoE switching
• Assist with hardware installation, testing, and vendor support
• Manage servers, backups, patching, and vendor escalations
• Administer and secure Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune across the org
• Create and maintain network diagrams, inventories, and SOPs
• Coordinate infrastructure/security projects with IT leadership and vendors
• Provide escalation support and clear incident documentation
