Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, engineer, and manage the enterprise network security posture. You will protect the network infrastructure, apply DevOps to automate and scale security, and collaborate with global teams to support IT services.

The role requires hands-on security tech experience, strong networking fundamentals, and the ability to drive security across data centers, offices, and edge environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Experience with Cisco ASA, FTD, FortiGate, Juniper SRX platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI, routing/switching, ACLs.
• Familiar with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, vulnerability management, incident response.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/CE or IT-related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security technologies across regions and environments.
• Research and recommend industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Operate and maintain security appliances (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper) including upgrades.
• Build and manage security infrastructure using DevOps and automation tools.
• Support security operations: monitoring, analysis, incident response, vulnerability management.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Projects, and internal customers.
• Develop and maintain operational processes and documentation.
