WISER is seeking a Network Security Engineer to perform hands‑on technical assessments of enterprise network security infrastructure and support the implementation of quantum-safe security recommendations. The role focuses on VPN, proxy, TLS inspection, secure web gateways, network controls, and cryptographic dependencies.

What You'll Do:
Network Security Assessment
- Assess enterprise network security configurations and infrastructure.
- Analyze VPN, proxy, TLS inspection, ZTNA, SWG, and secure connectivity environments.
- Identify RSA/ECDH and other cryptographic dependencies.
- Assess TLS configurations, certificates, cipher suites, and security policies.
- Review firewall, proxy, VPN, and network access‑control configurations.
Security Engineering
- Identify vulnerabilities, legacy configurations, and migration constraints.
- Support network segmentation and Zero Trust assessments.
- Collect and normalize technical evidence from network and security platforms.
- Support cryptographic discovery and inventory development.
- Assist with CBOM data collection and validation.
- Support remediation planning and technical testing.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Document findings, configurations, dependencies, and remediation actions.
- Work with architects and client engineering teams to validate recommendations.
- Support technical workshops and assessment activities.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in network security or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, proxies, TLS, and network security technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise network security infrastructure.
- Experience with VPN, proxy, TLS inspection, secure web gateways, or ZTNA.
- Ability to analyze network configurations and identify security and cryptographic dependencies.
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid network environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. U.S. citizenship is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with post‑quantum cryptography and cryptographic migration.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other automation tools.
- Experience with CBOM or cryptographic inventory tools.
- Relevant networking or security certifications.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
