The Opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your experience in cyber security, networking, and systems engineering that will support the United States Navy? As a network security engineer, you can identify the cyber posture needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to develop and implement security solutions that will allow our armed forces to administer modern technologies on tactical and deployed systems in a way that is safe, secure, and hardened while still allowing the overwhelming efficiency that is required for mission success.
On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network and cyber security best practices, as well as tools and scripting techniques to automate tasks and improve efficiencies. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your experience primarily in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, you’ll help assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. You’ll work with multiple Warfare centers within the Navy to design and maintain a reliable cyber posture across a number of systems that are deployed in classified and unclassified environments. You’ll collaborate with highly skilled systems engineers, software developers, and cybersecurity experts to learn the strategic goals and operational needs of our clients. You’ll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, and configuration of Army systems that must maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO) via the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. In this role, you’ll closely impact the mission's areas by assessing mission objectives and providing cyber security solutions that coincide with mission parameters.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
