Job summary

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES LLC in Spring, TX is seeking a hands-on Network Security Engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure network infrastructure across data centers, offices, and edge locations.

You will operate and upgrade firewalls and security appliances, automate workflows, support security operations, and contribute to incident response and vulnerability management. A strong focus on IAM, VPNs, and cloud connectivity is expected; on-call rotation required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Experience with Cisco ASA, FTD, FortiGate, Juniper SRX platforms.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI, routing/switching, ACLs, NAT, DNS.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, vulnerability management, incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security technologies across regions and environments (data centers, offices, edge).

• Build and manage security infrastructure using DevOps practices and automation tools.

• Evaluate advisories and provide mitigations; participate in vulnerability assessments and incident response.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Projects, and internal customers to deliver secure network solutions.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and documentation for ongoing support.
• Participate in a global follow-the-sun on-call rotation.

Job description

• Design, implement, and manage network security technologies and services across regions and infrastructure environments (data centers, offices, edge).
• Operate and maintain network security appliances (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper), including software upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities.
• Build and manage network security infrastructure using DevOps practices and automation tools to reduce manual intervention.
• Support security operations including monitoring, analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Evaluate security advisories/vulnerabilities and provide timely recommendations and mitigations.
• Participate in ad-hoc vulnerability assessments and incident response efforts.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Cybersecurity, Projects, and internal customers to deliver secure network solutions.
• Develop and maintain operational processes, runbooks, and documentation for ongoing support.
• Participate in a global "follow-the-sun" on-call support rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Experience with network security platforms: Cisco ASA (CSM), FTD (FMC), FortiGate (FortiManager), Juniper SRX (Junos Space).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing/switching, ACLs, NAT, DNS.
• Familiarity with security technologies: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Technical Skills & Tools

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and Internet technologies, IPS/IDS, firewall virtualization, VPNs, NAT, DNS.
• Automation & DevOps: GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, REST APIs, Jenkins, Jinja2, YAML (experience with CI/CD concepts and tools is a plus).
• Cloud: Experience with AWS and Azure network security services and connectivity.
• Relevant certifications preferred but not required: Cisco (CCNA/CCNP Security), Fortinet (FCA/FCSS/NSE), CISSP, GIAC.
