Qualifications

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing protocols, firewalls and switching.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects with internal stakeholders on cybersecurity and operational resilience.
• Monitor performance, track threats and vulnerabilities, schedule upgrades, optimize networks.
• Continuously monitor AI/ML-driven security metrics to identify irregularities and mitigate threats.
• Evaluate security of network devices, cloud environments (Azure & AWS) and services including Windows Server 12-22 and AD/Office365.
• Actively monitor critical applications, memory resident services, hardware and storage.
• Monitor transport layer for network performance and throughput optimization.
• Adhere to deadlines and drive for results with meticulous attention to detail.

Summary: Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Network Security Administrator I at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Network Security Administrator I will be required to leverage data analytics, artificial Intelligence, machine learning and security skills to ensure continuous improvement in operation security across multiple internal and external systems.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

• Execute projects and initiatives with internal stakeholders on cybersecurity and operational resilience for the organization.
• Maximize network security by monitoring performance, tracking emerging threats and vulnerabilities, scheduling upgrades, collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Continuous monitoring of metrics produced by existing AI and ML technologies within the organization to identify irregularities and mitigate potential threats.
• Evaluate security of network devices, operating systems, servers, cloud environments (Azure & AWS) and software including Windows Server 12-22, Active Directory and Office365.
• Active monitoring of all critical applications, including related memory resident services, hardware, and storage.
• Active monitoring of transport layer for network performance throughput optimization.
• Adhere to tight deadlines and drive for results, while being extremely detail orientated.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in use of cybersecurity and network management tools including SDWAN.
• Proficient with Network Security, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, Private VLANs, Port security & Access Lists in an enterprise-class infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN Tunneling, OSPF, QoS, BGP, MPLS, Firewalls, Routers & Switches.
• Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact with management effectively and comfortably.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to use data to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
• Ability to investigate and analyze technical and security issues.
• Additionally, stretches routinely beyond defined boundaries to lend skill and expertise to partner teams across the organization with a focus on continuous improvement.
