Network Security Administrator

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Security Administrator to provide boundary protection support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  1. Install, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, harden, maintain, and operate intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threats according to DoD security standards.
  2. Perform complex analytics on boundary protection systems to protect system assets from compromise, data loss, and other requirements.
  3. Perform DCO and DODIN operations.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years experience in network administration and support. HS diploma or GED required. Must be Security+ and Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) certified. Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification desired. Experience with enterprise DOD boundary protection and CSSP operations. Extensive experience with enterprise-level network architectures and configurations. Ability to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. Experience with network monitoring and management using automated solutions. Extensive experience with security related to network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
