Job summary

CDW is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network environments with a strong focus on Cisco and Fortinet technologies. The role will involve troubleshooting, firewall management, VPN implementations, and key infrastructure projects.

The position is hybrid (2 days onsite weekly) and contract-to-hire, offering opportunities to work on network migrations, upgrades, and security initiatives while ensuring robust network operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of network engineering or administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with network migration and infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, routing, and switching environments.
• Support and administer Cisco and Fortinet network infrastructure.
• Lead and assist with network projects, including VPN migrations from Cisco to Fortinet and other infrastructure initiatives.
• Manage firewalls, switches, routers, wireless networks, and network security tools.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, VLANs, and IP schemas.
• Perform network upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and capacity planning.
• Support security initiatives including vulnerability remediation, access controls, and monitoring.

This role will focus on Cisco and Fortinet technologies, network operations, and key infrastructure projects including firewall migrations, VPN implementations, and network upgrades.

What You'll Be Doing

Requirements

Preferred

• CCNA or higher
• Experience with Azure, SD-WAN, SASE, or hybrid cloud networking
• Exposure to security frameworks, vulnerability management, and compliance environments
