Salary Range: $27.50 - $44.00
Performs diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce images according to patient cases and guidelines, ensuring image quality for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning and conducts image operations per provider requests and technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices.
Provides excellent patient care and education before, during, and after procedures. Navigates the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Willing to perform additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities may expand based on facility needs, including on-call rotations, weekends, and holidays. Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, including mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA scans.
Completion of an ARRT-accepted educational program is required.
Knowledge of radiographic principles, positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required.
ARRT registration is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as needed is required.
