Role: Network Planning Engineer

Location: Omaha NE
Contract Role

Required Skills:
  • Formulate projects to procure and install ethernet switch and IP routing telecommunications hardware, software, and connections to fulfill demand for data network growth and expansion initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Apply professional and technical networking knowledge within a hybrid telecommunications and IT environment.
  • Author work packages for equipment installation, procure hardware, track shipments, and order circuits and connectivity to ensure successful installation.
  • Manage work intake per SLAs and KPIs; respond promptly to communication and escalations.
  • Collaborate on new products and technology deployment.
  • Plan and execute assignments following policies and practices.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning.
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis skills, and attention to detail.
  • Technical knowledge of Transport systems and IP Routing technologies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Effective communication across various business levels.
  • Proficiency in PC software and Office applications; scripting/data skills are a plus.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Adapt to process changes and requirements.
  • Deliver major projects on time.
  • Identify process gaps and suggest improvements.
  • Complete mandatory training.
  • Understand platform interdependencies.
  • Produce clear and concise project documentation.

This is a Work from Home position within the U.S. focusing on Ethernet switch, IP routing, and PC software applications.
