Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Network & Physical Security Systems Support Engineer for an 18+ months contract with hybrid work locations in Charlotte, NC; Iselin, NJ; Frisco, TX, and occasional travel to Sioux City, IA.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Lenel OnGuard, access control, Windows Server, SDA/SDN, and at least one enterprise VMS such as Genetec Security Center; CCNA/CCNP is preferred. Travel and remote work with cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for security system integration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with internal teams for change management and validation activities.
• Ensure reliability of VMS and access control across sites during hybrid work arrangements.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Network & Physical Security Systems Support Engineer. This is a 18+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Charlotte, NC/Iselin, NJ/Frisco, TX (Hybrid)(Remote with traveling to Sioux City, Iowa, a few times each month).

Pay Range: $60 - $66/hour.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: Lenel on Guard
• Access control
• Windows server
• Hands-on network change-window support (pre/post-change validation, MOP execution).
• Working knowledge of SD-Access (SDA) or similar SDN architecture, at a validation/troubleshooting level.
• Direct experience with at least one enterprise VMS/access control platform (Genetec Security Center or Lenel OnGuard).
• IP camera infrastructure troubleshooting (AXIS or comparable).
• Standard IT support functions: provisioning, imaging, asset tracking, onboarding/offboarding.
• Ability to work standing weekend shifts as a core job requirement.
• Comfortable managing dual reporting lines across two internal teams.
• Genetec Security Center or Lenel OnGuard certification.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent Cisco networking certification.
• AXIS Certified Professional or equivalent.
• Client or similar ITSM platform experience.
• Prior experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare)
