Responsibilities
Network Management
Manage and optimize network hardware to maintain performance, capacity, and reliability.
Perform daily troubleshooting across multi-vendor environments, resolving software and hardware issues.
Issue Resolution
Address network traffic anomalies and respond to inquiries from cross-functional teams (XFNs) and partners.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to promptly resolve network-related problems.
Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) for outages and deliver detailed incident reports with corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with service providers, colocation facilities, and global XFNs to ensure seamless network operations.
Support infrastructure initiatives and contribute to the design and implementation of new network projects.
Additional Duties
Perform other related tasks as assigned to support overall network reliability and operational excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in a relevant field and 5–8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience with optical networking (DWDM, CWDM) and IP networking protocols (IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment in selecting appropriate methodologies.
Deep understanding of fiber‑optic technologies, including cable and connector types, optical components, and transport systems.
Demonstrated experience in preparing RCA reports for network and server outages.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs.
Desirable Skills
Experience working in multi‑vendor network environments.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, OCA, or equivalent.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to perform standard office tasks, including extended periods of sitting or standing.
Proficiency in using computers and standard office equipment.
Effective communication skills for collaboration and coordination across teams.
Occasional repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
