Qualifications

• 3+ years in network operations, carrier activation, or related infrastructure.
• End-to-end circuit tracing across cross-connects, fiber pairs, port mappings, and optics.
• Troubleshoot optical faults with power meters, VFL, OLTS/OTDR evidence, and DOM/DDM data.
• Build automation with scripts, APIs, and structured data to guide technicians.

Responsibilities

• Own Layer 1 activation and restoration for carrier circuits, dark fiber, wavelengths, Ethernet handoffs, and dedicated cloud interconnects across data centers and POPs.
• Reconcile complete A-side/Z-side as-builts: circuit IDs, LOAs/CFAs, carrier demarcations, MMR/ODF/MDF and patch-panel positions.
• Investigate light issues, wrong ports, link-flap, and errors; isolate causes across providers and CSPs.
• Guide remote hands and technicians through inspections, testing, and approved loopbacks.
• Verify service acceptance: correct circuit/port, optics compatible, light levels, and handoff readiness.
• Own tickets and drive resolution with evidence and follow-ups.
• Perform safe smart-hands and changes with rollback.
• Deliver complete production handoffs with mappings, test results, and incident history.
