Job description

Network Management Validation Engineer

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an Engineer for the Electronics Validation Team within the Electronic Development Department (EDD), part of the Electronic Systems Development (ESD) Division.

The Team:

EDD is responsible for designing and validating body electronic features and components for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.

The Position:

The Network Management Validation Engineer will oversee and ensure the performance and validation of electrical systems in Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles. Responsibilities include performing technical validation, creating test plans and reports, and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with R&D, suppliers, and quality departments.
  • Understand system components and architecture.
  • Provide recommendations to improve user experience.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with management and SMEs.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct validation based on Test Development Plans, and improve validation processes.
  • Generate and present management reports on project status, technical advancements, and market trends.
  • Participate in design reviews and develop specifications and test plans.
  • Lead benchmarking activities and report findings.
  • Identify and report system deficiencies.
  • Support testing and resolve system issues.
  • Analyze logs, identify root causes, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality activities pre- and post-vehicle launch.
  • Perform focus validation on post-SOP software.
  • Provide progress updates throughout product development.
  • Support other projects aligned with HATCI's goals.
  • Stay current with new technologies and maintain relationships with technical experts.
  • Travel up to 15%, domestically and internationally.

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or automotive engineering or related field.
  • Automotive engineering experience.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of ECU hardware/software, vehicle architectures, and network communication.
  • Experience with bus communication tools (e.g., Vector, Intrepid).
  • Familiarity with CAN/Ethernet network management and standards.
  • Electrical circuit and component testing experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in related fields.
  • Experience in automotive product development from concept to launch.
