The role acts as the senior technical escalation point and collaborates with EA, Network Architecture, App Development, and Server teams to ensure high availability and security.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in enterprise networking, expertise in BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, and hands-on experience with Illumio security, Palo Alto Prisma, and Infoblox IPAM.

Overview

Lead Network Engineer (application integration) to join our IT Infrastructure Operations team. In this role, you will lead the network support for application integration across multiple cloud and SaaS environments. You will act as the senior technical escalation point for complex network issues and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Network Architecture, Application Development, Server Administration, and Solutions Engineering teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance across on‑premise and cloud networks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complex Troubleshooting & Escalation: Serve as the top-tier escalation point for critical network incidents. Diagnose and resolve complex routing issues (e.g., BGP peer failures), load balancer configurations, and complex multi‑tier application connectivity problems.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross‑functional teams to support physical server builds, VLAN/VPC provisioning, and secure connectivity across environments.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain firewalls, load balancers, network fabrics (e.g., Cisco, HP Synergy), and DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM via Infoblox).
• Process Improvement: Develop, document, and maintain network topologies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident response and monitoring guidelines (e.g., PagerDuty, NNMi).

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 8+ years in enterprise network engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Routing & Switching: Expert knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and complex data center switching architectures (LACP, vPC, VDS, tenant separation).
• Cloud Network: Integration experience with Google GCP, AWS, and Azure; connectivity to public service providers such as Workday and ServiceNow.
• Security: Micro-segmentation environments (Illumio) and Palo Alto Prisma.
• Load Balancing & Security: Experience configuring and troubleshooting load balancers (VIPs, SSL offloading) and Next‑Generation Firewalls; certificate management and application integration.
• Tools: Proficiency in IPAM solutions (Infoblox), monitoring tools (Micro Focus NNMi, PagerDuty), and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow).
• Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and manage cross‑team coordination.

Location and compensation details are aligned with experience and jurisdiction. The salary range for this role is $115,000.00–$183,000.00 per year. Notes on wage details by location may apply.
