Job summary

AXIOM in Austin, TX is seeking a Network Lab Technician to inspect and support networking hardware. You will perform incoming inspections, run basic switch CLI commands, monitor orders, and label/code transceivers, including EEPROM programming.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in electronics or IT, CCNA certification, strong written and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. This is a hybrid role with on-site office in Austin.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in electronic or computer industry.
• CCNA - Routing and Switching certification preferred.
• Knowledge of switch CLI.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Performing incoming inspection of incoming product.
• Performing basic commands on switches to ensure compatibility.

• This job is in Austin, TX. You must be able to work from Axiom’s Austin, TX office.

As a Network Lab Technician, your key responsibilities include:

• Performing incoming inspection of incoming product.
• Performing basic commands on switches to ensure compatibility.
• Monitor incoming orders.
• Create labels for transceivers, code transceivers and manage label library.
• Code transceiver EEPROM using the provided tools.
• Performing QA on finished product.

To be a good fit for this role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years in electronic or computer industry.
• QC (Quality Control) or QA (Quality Assurance) are a big plus for this role.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: CCNA - Routing and Switching.
• Knowledge in switch CLI.
• Excellent product knowledge.
• Excellent in written, interpersonal communications and organization skills.
• Multi-tasking and effective decision making.
• Able to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent proficiency in Office Suites.

Compensation Range:

Salary starting at $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
