Network Installation Supervisor – San Diego, CA
(salaried non-exempt / project-focused leader)
Pay scale$70,000 – $95,000 a year (paid hourly ≈ $33 – $45 and overtime after 8/40)
Public-works assignments can boost total comp above $110 k with prevailing-wage differentials.
Hourly Rate Band based on hour classification-different travel, admin, and installation rates)
Role snapshot
• Full-time, salaried non-exempt • Home base San Diego with 60 % travel across California
• Leads multi-site roll-outs of UPS power, PoE/stackable switches, Wi-Fi 6/6E APs, routers, firewalls and structured cabling
• Fast track to Senior Project Manager or Network Design Engineer
Core responsibilities
Team leadershipResource planning, task assignment, KPI tracking, apprentice mentoring
Network & power installationOversee copper/fiber pulls, UPS mounting, rack power, link certification and cut-overs
Quality & complianceEnsure NEC/TIA standards, Cal/OSHA safety, red-line drawings and hand-off packages
Client & internal coordinationWork closely with Sales Engineering and PM teams; provide internal ops support as needed
Required background
• 3 + years supervising network-equipment and low-voltage installations (cabling, UPS, APs, switches, CCTV)
• Proven budget/schedule ownership on multi-site projects
• Clean DMV record • able to lift 50 lbs and travel overnight statewide
• U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship)
