Job summary

RCM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a dual-scope PM with network/infrastructure oversight for ITS initiatives in NYC. The role blends project coordination with hands-on networking leadership, overseeing vendor and contractor activity through design, bidding, construction and implementation phases.

The successful candidate will manage SOWs, track budgets, and ensure standards are met while coordinating with architects, engineers, and internal teams. Bachelor's degree preferred and CCNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco switching and wireless infrastructure.
• CCNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between the client's IT dept, stakeholders, architects and vendors across all lifecycle stages.
• Develop, review, and contribute to SOWs and technical specs for bidding and procurement.
• Maintain and update project databases, tracking systems, and IT infra records.
• Review contractor bids and recommend qualified vendors, coordinating with the engineering firm.
• Monitor progress, timelines and budgets; assist with invoices and change orders; identify risks.
• Review designs to identify conflicts affecting IT infrastructure and operations.
• Oversee installation and configuration of Cisco switches and Cisco Wireless Controller equipment.
• Support transition of final infra into operations with proper documentation and improvements.

Compensation: Up to $75.00/hr., commensurate with experience

Location: Onsite NYC

Length of Contract: 24 months

Position Description

This is a dual-scope role combining project management and network/infrastructure oversight for Information Technology Services (ITS) infrastructure and communications initiatives. The role requires prior hands-on networking experience to lead capital project coordination and oversee the installation and configuration of network infrastructure by vendors and contractors. Working collaboratively with internal personnel, architects, engineers, construction project managers, vendors, and contractors, this role ensures ITS requirements, technical standards, and project objectives are met throughout the planning, design, bidding, construction, and implementation lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client's IT department and project stakeholders, architects, engineers, construction project managers, vendors, and contractors across planning, design, bidding, construction, and implementation.
• Develop, review, and contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs), technical specifications, and project documentation for competitive bidding and procurement.
• Maintain and update project databases, tracking systems, and IT infrastructure records, including communications, wireless, structured cabling, and IP camera systems.
• Review contractor and vendor bids and provide recommendations on qualified vendors and contractors, including coordination with the project's engineering firm of record.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets; assist with reviewing invoices, billing, and change orders; identify and help resolve risks and technical issues.
• Review project designs, drawings, and specifications to identify conflicts, gaps, or deficiencies that may impact IT infrastructure or operations.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of Cisco switches and Cisco Wireless Controller-based wireless equipment, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Support the transition of completed infrastructure into operations, ensuring documentation and standards are maintained, and identify opportunities to improve infrastructure design, deployment, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience combining project management with network/infrastructure oversight, including prior hands-on networking experience.
• Prior hands-on experience with Cisco switching and wireless infrastructure, with the ability to oversee current implementation activities.
• Prior experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Experience managing IT/technology capital projects, including SOWs, bid evaluation, and vendor/contractor coordination.
• Experience maintaining project documentation, database/tracking systems, and infrastructure records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively across architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
