Syringa Networks is seeking a Network Field Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom networks. This role supports on-site customer networks, collaborates with NOC and engineering teams, and assists with installations, upgrades, and repairs.

The position requires a practical technical background, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel about 20% with occasional overnight stays. Work involves field operations across Idaho and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in related industry.
• High school diploma required.
• Good technical mindset for troubleshooting & installations.
• Basic electronics with advanced analog/digital knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office and standard office equipment.
• Willing to travel ~20% with possible overnight stays.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Shift work including overtime and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom networks and equipment.
• Provide on-site customer support and remote coordination with NOC or engineers.
• Assist senior technicians, provisioners, NOC, and engineers in network deployments and repairs.
• Install/terminate network cables and connectors; configure hardware (routers, switches, APs).
• Perform routine network monitoring and diagnose performance issues.
• Maintain documentation of network infrastructure and inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance of critical infrastructure and equipment.
