Network & Facility Engineer Administrator

Do you believe that you can make the lives of people better with technology? The State of North Dakota is looking for a Network and Facility Administrator to support, design, and test infrastructure within the Intelligent Transportation System and state data centers.

North Dakota Information Technology manages a 24/7 data center with multiple physical locations providing hosting, storage, desktop support, and database management services to various customers, including all levels of state government. This role is on-site at these locations in the Bismarck-Mandan area and also supports the Intelligent Transportation System.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain ITS infrastructures across the enterprise, focusing on monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Manage data center equipment and related infrastructure.
  • Follow architectural designs and assist in planning for implementation.
  • Analyze configuration and performance issues across networks and carrier networks.
  • Maintain inventory and maintenance records of all equipment.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to customers, colleagues, and vendors, providing excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least one year of experience supporting computer operations, infrastructure maintenance, and system implementations. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
