Job summary
Saalex is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support network infrastructure, video transport systems, and field test operations at NSWC Corona. The selected candidate will independently perform complex technical assignments supporting the design, deployment, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of network systems.
This position requires hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment, IP camera systems, video transport technologies, and DoD cybersecurity compliance
Qualifications
- AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Networking, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant network engineering technician experience; in lieu of education, 10 years of related experience may be substituted.
- Experience with routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, and Cisco infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design, deployment, and optimization of network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage routing and switching equipment (Cisco).
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and communications issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP cameras and video transport networks.
- Ensure DISA STIG compliance and secure network boundaries.
- Travel to test ranges for installation, site surveys, and hands-on support.
- Provide technical guidance and coordination with engineers and stakeholders.
