Job summary

Bessemer Trust in Port Reading, NJ, offers a 10-week Network Engineering Internship designed to mirror a full-time role. You will support enterprise network operations across data centers and offices, working with WAN/LAN, VPNs, SD-WAN, and security infrastructure.

You'll gain hands-on experience with Cisco/Meraki/Arista gear, Palo Alto firewalls, automation with Ansible and Python, and exposure to cloud/virtualization (AWS, VMware).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in network engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN, wireless, routing/switching fundamentals, SD-WAN concepts
• Network Devices: Cisco, Meraki, Arista, Palo Alto firewalls
• Cloud & Virtualization: AWS, VMware, hybrid environments
• Automation & Scripting: Ansible and Python
• Bonus skills: familiarity with network monitoring tools, orchestration platforms, or additional programming languages (SQL, JavaScript, C#)

We are seeking a Network Engineering Intern with a foundation in networking concepts and a passion for learning. In this role you will support senior engineers in managing and optimizing Bessemer Trust’s enterprise network, including WAN/LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and firewall/security infrastructure. This 10-week program is designed to mirror the experience of a full-time employee, providing hands-on exposure to enterprise networking and a foundation for a future career in technology.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across data centers and offices.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $40.00 - $45.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Application deadline is October 6th.
