Job Description:

Mandatory Skills: Extensive knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and cloud networking.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist with a strong background in analyzing and optimizing network architecture, infrastructure, and security. The ideal candidate will understand SRE principles and have expertise in routers, firewalls, incident management, cloud networking, data center networking, and network observability. Preferred candidates will also have payment network design experience and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, analyze, and optimize network infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
2. Conduct capacity planning and network modeling for LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and cloud environments.
3. Network Security:
4. Implement and manage advanced security measures using tools like Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
5. Monitor and improve network security protocols to prevent cyber threats and breaches.
6. Perform penetration testing and simulate cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities.
7. Lead resolution of critical incidents affecting network performance or security.
8. Develop and implement incident response protocols aligned with SRE principles.
9. Design and manage hybrid cloud networking solutions for seamless connectivity between on-premises data centers and public clouds.
10. Automate provisioning of network services to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
11. Observability & Monitoring:
12. Implement observability tools to monitor telemetry data across endpoints, applications, and infrastructure.
13. Analyze correlated data to detect anomalies and proactively address potential issues.
14. Payment Network Design (Preferred):
15. Architect secure payment networks ensuring compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS.
16. Optimize transaction routing for efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in networking roles such as Network Specialist or Engineer.
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Required Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
• Network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in using Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management.
