Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Network Engineer to plan and implement upgrades to a global enterprise network. You will serve as a local SME for network administration and monitoring tools, leveraging Zabbix, TACACS+, and Jira within an Agile Scrum framework.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, Security+ certification, and extensive experience with Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS, routing protocols, and scripting. On-site location in Maryland with standard hours.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly where required.
Security+ certification required or equivalent.
8+ years of relevant experience with a BS/BA or 6+ with MS/MA, or 12 years substituted for degree.
Experience developing Zabbix templates for network monitoring.
Experience configuring Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS routers and switches.
Experience with EIGRP, BGP, OSPF protocols and route distribution.
Experience with CISCO firewall configurations and DMVPN/VLAN separation.
Scripting in Expect, Bash, and Python; familiarity with Ansible playbooks.

Responsibilities

Plan enhancements and upgrades to a large worldwide enterprise network.
Serve as local SME for network administration and monitoring tools (Zabbix, TACACS+).
Track initiatives and tasks using Jira in an Agile Scrum environment.
Develop and maintain scripts for configuration and auditing of network devices.
Configure monitoring tools for enterprise-wide network devices and datacenters.
