Job summary

The Bison Group LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure network solutions for government clients in the Reston, VA area. Responsibilities include configuring devices, documenting topologies, and supporting ongoing modernization and CERP activities.

The role requires active TS/SCI with CI poly (or ability to obtain) and relevant certifications. Travel up to 20% CONUS may be required. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI poly (or ability to obtain before start).
• CCNA and Security+ certifications required.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper equipment and LAN/WAN protocols.
• Able to engineer and document network solutions.
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create network design plans and baseline configurations.
• Analyzes network topologies and traffic and provides recommendations.
• Briefs government customer and other contractors on recommended solutions and designs.
• Complete network engineering surveys and installations.
• Assist with the development effort for the standard documentation maintained.
• Complete IOS upgrades and device configuration changes.
• Complete network documentation for physical and logical diagrams, design documentation, and inventory support.
• Perform cable infrastructure tasks as required.
• Complete change management requests to support device installations.
• May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users to operation staff.
• May perform general network administration duties as needed.
• Up to 20% CONUS travel to customer sites as needed.
• Participates in special projects as required.

Our mission on this program will be the design, transition, operations, and continual service improvement to include tech modernization, tech refresh, or Capital Equipment Replacement Program (CERP) activities associated with the clients' LANs, CAN and Unified Communication services. Requirements

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Active Security+ Certification
• Active TS/SCI with CI poly clearance OR TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI poly prior to starting
• Experience with network operating systems (e.g.; Cisco; Juniper); network hardware (e.g.; routers; switches; cabling and other essential network hardware); and LAN/WAN protocols (e.g.; OSPF; BGP; MPLS). Type 1 Encryption
• Must be capable of engineering and documenting network solutions, not just deploying or configuring
• Good verbal and written presentation skills

• Associates + 5 Yrs
• Bachelors +3 Yrs
• Masters + 1 Yrs
