Citizens Bank is seeking a Network Engineer Intern for the 2027 Enterprise Technology & Security Summer Internship Program. Based in Johnston, RI (and other HQs), you will work with network teams to gain hands-on experience across enterprise connectivity, automation, and security.
In 10 weeks you will learn firewall and proxy concepts, monitor network health, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with mentorship and exposure to leadership.

The Enterprise Technology & Security Summer Internship Program is a critical program within Enterprise Technology & Security Services that helps passionate early career professionals gain real-world exposure to groundbreaking technology.
Network Engineer Interns work collaboratively with Network Engineering teams to pursue a broad range of initiatives. Citizens is a cloud first organization adopting automation in our tech stack. By using technical skills and a thirst for innovation, interns will be given the autonomy to exercise independent thought in a collaborative environment.
In this 10‑week program, interns will gain a strong understanding of Cloud Services at Citizens. This program also provides mentorship, exposure to senior leadership, and participation in a variety of activities to further develop professional skills, including:
High‑performing interns interested in pursuing a career within Enterprise Technology & Security may be extended an offer to return as a Full‑time colleague in our Enterprise Technology & Security Development Program (ETSDP) upon graduation. The ETSDP is a full‑time program that helps rising professionals build a meaningful career within software, network/systems, data or cloud engineering, technology risk and security.
The position offers $30 per hour as a starting rate.
